Using oils as her sole medium, Kendra has developed a style described as Impressionistic Realism. Scenes of the Western landscape comprise the majority of her work, and she also enjoys including wildlife and other animals within the landscape. She is known for her paintings of the quiet drama of nature discovered just over the hill beyond our hectic daily lives. In 2006 Kendra’s painting of two elk in Yellowstone National Park was exhibited and sold at the prestigious Arts for the Parks competition in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She has completed several major pieces inspired by the fall mountain colors and is currently working on a new series depicting areas along mountain hiking trails. |
